Laser Overload!

hello! thanks for checking out this game! the tutorial should show, but in case it doesn't, here are the controls:

wasd or arrow keys to move, space to shoot a giant laser that shoots you backwards, red overlaid areas cancel your laser, you overload meter slowly increases, and if it goes above the maximum, it starts shaking for 120 frames. if, at the end of that, you haven't discharged your laser, you explode!

this game was made for the monthly scratch jam #7.
